Yes. I provide secure virtual therapy sessions to couples, adolescents, and adults across Ontario. Virtual therapy allows you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space, without needing to travel.
Therapy can be helpful if you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in patterns that are no longer serving you. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support because they want to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, feel more confident, or make meaningful changes in their lives. If you are wondering whether therapy is right for you, that is often a good sign that it may be worth exploring. I offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation to provide an opportunity to meet and determine if we would be a good fit, and how I can best support you should you choose to move ahead with therapy.
All notes, records, and communication created by Noella Taylor concerning your involvement as a client are kept secure and confidential and can only be shared with your written consent. I keep a record of all appointments/visits. There are a few exceptions to confidentiality in which all therapists have a duty to report. In the following rare situations, the law requires that reports be made and/or information released:
Noella Taylor strictly adheres to current legislation governing personal privacy (Personal Health Information Protection Act). All information collected is for the purpose of ensuring accurate contact information, accountability as a service provider, and to ensure that all safety, legal, and ethical standards are met. All clinical documentation and data are stored in a secure location and on a secure server.
The services of Registered Social Workers are covered by most Employee Benefits. Check your benefit package. You will be provided with an insurance-friendly receipt that includes all the information that your insurer requires. This receipt can be submitted to your insurance provider by you for reimbursement. If you do not have insurance coverage, the receipts may be useful for income tax purposes.
In order to avoid clients being charged for missed appointments, I require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. I understand that emergencies and extenuating circumstances happen. Please contact me as soon as possible if there is a change needed regarding your appointment.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will talk about what has been bringing you to therapy, the challenges you are facing, and what you hope to achieve. I will ask questions about your history, current concerns, and goals, and we will begin to develop a plan for moving forward. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Most clients begin by attending weekly sessions, especially at the start of therapy when we are building momentum and working toward your goals. As you begin to feel more confident and notice progress, sessions may move to every two weeks or less often. The frequency of therapy is always tailored to your needs, goals, schedule, and what feels most helpful for you.
