No one ever intends to become addicted to substances or other behaviours. Despite the consequences, a pattern of addiction can occur when less healthy strategies are used to avoid or reduce stress. Over time, these patterns lead to relationship difficulties, an inability to meet family and work commitments, and a sense of disconnection and shame. The cycle of addiction often leads people to feel that they are not in charge of their actions. We most commonly think of alcohol and drug use when we think of addiction, but people can easily become addicted to other behaviours including gambling, gaming, Internet and technology use, pornography, compulsive sexual behaviour, shopping, and disordered eating. The good news is that therapy can teach people to identify triggers, stop unhelpful thinking, and find healthier ways to manage their stress.
We are all sexual beings. Sexual urges, desires and fantasies are a normal part of being human. For both men and women, these urges and thoughts can turn into preoccupations and compulsions that interfere with daily life and lead to compulsive sexual behaviour (sometimes referred to as sex addiction). Compulsive sexual behaviour is similar to other addictions such as food addiction and excessive shopping because it leads to harm in an activity that is normally life-enhancing. The cycle of sexual preoccupation and behaviour leads to feelings of distress, guilt and shame and can have devastating consequences both personally and for family and friends. The good news is that therapy can teach people to identify and manage behaviour and address underlying problems.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling and treatment, I will work with you to help you recover your motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. Depression and anxiety are treatable with medication, therapy, and lifestyle changes. Through therapy, you can learn to manage your fears, anxieties and depressive symptoms by figuring out what is really causing them. I can help you learn how to take charge of your emotions. Working with a therapist that you trust is a step toward recovery and growth.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. Working with a trusted therapist can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of healing.
It is difficult to function well when you are hijacked by intense, often unpleasant emotions. There are a lot of reasons why people are impacted differently by their emotional responses to provocative situations. Learning how to identify and manage the thoughts and physical responses to emotions can help you get back on the path that you want to walk. Working with a trusted therapist can help you overcome barriers on your journey toward fulfillment.
Counselling and therapy online sessions are held from the safety of your own home at a time that is convenient for you through an easy scheduling platform.

No therapist is meant to do this work alone. Behind every effective, thoughtful clinician is a space where they can pause, reflect, and continue to grow.
As therapists, we are the primary tools of our work. Our effectiveness depends not only on our knowledge and skills, but also on our ability to remain reflective, grounded, and supported. Clinical supervision offers a dedicated space to strengthen your practice, deepen your confidence, and ensure that you are providing the highest quality care to your clients.
Clinical supervision is more than case consultation. It is an opportunity to explore the therapeutic relationship, identify patterns or blind spots, build on your strengths, and develop greater clarity in your clinical decision making. Together, we can work through challenging cases, ethical concerns, risk management, countertransference, treatment planning, documentation, and the emotional impact of doing this work.
My approach to supervision is collaborative, supportive, and individualized. I believe that effective supervision should feel both challenging and encouraging: a place where you can be honest about your uncertainties, ask difficult questions, and refine your therapeutic style without judgment.
As your clinical supervisor, I will work with you to:
Supervision can be tailored to where you are in your professional journey. Whether you are a new therapist seeking structure and guidance, an experienced clinician wanting support with complex cases, or a qualifying psychotherapist working toward registration, supervision is designed to meet your individual needs.
I provide clinical supervision for Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychotherapists, and Qualifying Psychotherapists in accordance with the requirements established by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
Group clinical supervision offers therapists the opportunity to learn and grow alongside other clinicians in a supportive, reflective environment. These group sessions are 90 mins and include 3-6 clinicians. They are designed for therapists who want the benefits of shared learning, diverse perspectives, and connection with others doing similar work.
Group supervision can be especially valuable in reducing isolation, increasing confidence, and expanding your clinical thinking through discussion of cases, themes, and therapeutic challenges.
Group supervision sessions include:
